Send emails from your own address — login and invite emails to your customers come from your domain, not Brandless’s default. This keeps everything on-brand and builds trust with your clients. Available on Growth and Scale plans only.

How it works

When you set up a custom email sender, your customers’ login links and workspace invitations are sent from an address like hello@yourbrand.com instead of the default Brandless address. Your agency name appears in the “From” field for a fully branded experience. To enable this, you add a couple of DNS records at your domain registrar to prove you own the domain. Once verified, emails start flowing from your address immediately.

Steps

1

Go to Branding and scroll to Custom email sender

In the dashboard, open Branding from the sidebar. Scroll down to the Custom email sender section on the right side. If you don’t see it, check that your plan is Growth or Scale (the section only appears for eligible plans).
2

Enter your sending address

Type the email address you’d like to send from — for example, hello@yourbrand.com. It must be on a domain you own. Click Connect.
3

Copy the DNS records

The app shows you two DNS records (DKIM and SPF) to add at your domain registrar. Each record has a Name and Value field with a copy button next to it. Click to copy each one separately — you’ll paste the Name into one field and the Value into another at your registrar.
4

Add records at your domain registrar

Log in to your domain registrar (the service where you bought or manage your domain). Find the DNS settings or zone file editor. Add each record the app shows:
  • DKIM record (type TXT) — copy the Name and Value exactly as shown
  • SPF record (type TXT) — copy the Name and Value exactly as shown
If prompted for TTL, the default (usually 3600) is fine. Lower values like 300 propagate faster while testing, but standard is 3600.
5

Check status

Back in Branding, click Check status. DNS changes usually take a few minutes to propagate. The badge next to your email address updates from “Pending verification” to “Verified” once both records are detected.
DNS changes take time to propagate globally — often a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour. If Check status shows “Not detected yet,” wait a moment and try again.
Don’t use a Brandless subdomain (like yourbrand.brandless.app) or a throwaway test domain. You must provide an email address on a domain you actually own and can edit DNS records for.

What happens next

Once verified, your customers see your domain in the sender field for all login and invite emails. To stop using your custom sender and revert to the default, click Remove next to your email address. Emails go back to the Brandless default immediately.
